Biore Deep Cleansin

Bought these after my son pointed out to me that my nose looks like a strawberry. "What are all those black dots?" After using this for the first time tonight and seeing what was pulled out on the strip i am very happy with the result. I will have to repeat the treatment a few more times to get the "strawberry" out of my nose but I'm quite impressed with the difference even after first use. I love these strips. I do them once a week and my skin always feels so smooth after using them. I get a sick sense of satisfaction looking at what it removes, too. I use one of these every other week just to help keep my skin clear of the dirt that gets trapped in the pours. The contour strips are the best on the market that I have seen. Just need to make sure that the strip isn't on for too long or else its very hard to pull off and can take some skin with it. These nose strips did not work very well for me as I have really stubborn blackheads, but I have found that following these steps will completely amaze or disgust (maybe both) you when you pull off that strip!Materials needed:Cotton Rounds (3 pads or so)BowlBaking sodaOne of these nose strips!Steps:1. Take a warm shower for 15-20 minutes to loosen your pores.2. Fill a bowl with warm water and baking soda: about two parts water and one part baking soda. (you don't want it to be pasty, just cloudy)3. Mix it and dunk the cotton rounds in there for a minute or two.4. Once the cotton rounds are fully saturated with the warm baking soda mixture, completely cover your nose with the pads. (not the nostrils)5. Keep the cotton rounds on your nose for 15 minutes. The mixture draws out the black heads.6. Get your strip ready! Twist it softly so the slits open up, allowing optimal placement on your nose. Don't wash your face or rinse it!7. Use the cotton round to dab some more of the baking soda mixture onto your nose (this is the "water" for the nose strip)8. Place the strip on your nose. Keep on for 15-30 minutes until the strip becomes really firm and you know it's ready to be peeled.Good:-These Biore Pore Strips are really effective at removing the gunk on your nose.Bad:-Not a cure, but a treatment. Incredibly effective treatment at that!-Leaves your nose slightly red, but that's obvious given the nature of the strips.-Little pricey, much better on Amazon than drug stores though.I did this once a week and it has really gotten rid of my stubborn blackheads. My skin is not that sensitive so it can take the harsh abrasive baking soda, but if your skin is fragile, just use the strips by itself first. I recommend these strips for anyone looking to remove their blackheads! No matter how many times I use a Bioré nose strip (which I've been doing every week or two for several years), there's a moment of childlike fascination of examining the strip from every angle that has just been peeled from my nose to see exactly how much stuff it has extracted. Every time, I think to myself, "how did all of that get there?"I don't know how it all got there, but the Bioré strips get it out. They're easy to use. I use them after a hot steamy shower, under the assumption that my pores will have opened up and thus be more willing to deposit their unwelcome residents onto the sticky strip. I leave the strip on for awhile. I can't honestly tell you how long it is, for I go about the rest of my routine until I reach a point where it's time to continue on with my daily routine for my face. Peeling the strip off is quick and easy, and I wouldn't say it hurts at all -- easier than peeling off a bandage. Whatever discomfort exists is immediately mitigated by the fascination of examining the strip.I admit that I always make sure to use a Bioré strip before I get a facial. The strips are a lot more comfortable than my esthetician's extractions (ouch!), and I like to imagine that I've made her job a little bit easier. So this is kind of a good news/bad news situation. When I used the pore strips, my nose did indeed look fabulous. I had noticed over time I was having to use a mattifying gel over my foundation to keep the shine and cavernous pores from showing. The Biore strips really did pull a lot of junk out of them and I could skip the gel afterwards.However.....Take the package directions seriously. They are not meant for delicate skin. Don't use toner or an exfoliant in that area for at least 24 hours. And, think about whether you really want to use them at all. These strips are basically an adhesive and a hair spray ingredient (so says the author of "Don't Go To the Cosmetics Counter Without Me.") They can irritate your skin terribly and in the long run aren't good for it. They cannot be used in combination with Retinol, AHA's or BHA's and will make spider veins more pronounced. Which is a shame because my pores' appearance really did improve immediately. But truth be told, you are probably better off investing in a good exfoliant and/or clay masque. I tried the Biore deep cleaning pore strips and it was very easy to apply. The strip dried quickly, pulled off easily, and oh yuck, was disgustingly successful (as you can see by the picture I am uploading). My son tried one, he has a larger nose and had issues with the fit, to use it on the side where most of the clogged pores are he would have to cut the strip and apply to either side.My nose didn't feel painful (nor was the pull off painful) afterwards, a little dry but I hadn't moisturized between washing and applying the strip so it would be dry anyway. There's no residual redness or discomfort. The box does say not to use if sunburned, if you have spider veins, or an active breakout of acne, or are on acne medications. I'm 20 and I found this product about a year ago. I always had these black dots on my nose, A LOT OF THEM, and I never knew what they were. I have had acne, and I heard the black spots could be blackheads. I read and watched videos about the Biore nose strips and decided to buy it at Wal-Mart. Before that, all the cleansers and whatnot I used (for acne) didn't get rid of the blackheads, so I wasn't sure if it were blackheads or not. These took the blackheads right out, but not all of them. The majority of the blackheads it would take out, but there would be some stubborn ones here and there. But my nose is much more clearer and it isn't as noticeable. I'd say it takes out 80% of the blackheads. You have to peel it off VERY SLOWLY. My eyes water tears when this happens, but it doesn't hurt. You can feel the blackheads or whatever gunk you have in your pores coming out. The first time I did it, it looked like thick black hairs all over the strip. I was amazed. I did it again a few days ago after not doing it for so long, and it did it again, only this time I had some actual gunk that looked like booger come out of my pores. How? I have no idea, I wash my face as much as possible.I give this 4 stars because it doesn't take out all of the blackheads. It also can be a little drying, but when you put water on it after, the stickyness would go away. Also the way it's designed, it doesn't get under the nose, only over the top.But if you have stubborn blackheads on your nose, and no product is working, I would say to atleast try it. I have tried all the acne cleansers you can name to get rid of blackheads and it didn't work, but these would take the blackheads right out and they would show up like little hairs. It's quite amazing really.I'd do it once a week or twice a month. If you don't have excessive black heads don't do this every week. I'm not sure if it's gentle enough because the pulling on the nose could cause damage. AGAIN, PULL SLOWLY!! DO NOT RIP IT OFF LIKE A WAX!!Update : well it's been a few months since I used these BUT before that I was still using them and my nose is about 98% clear haha. I only have some where I can't get them, in stubborn places, like the creases in my nose.Other than it, THIS IS THE BOMB!! Works best if you cleanse your face with some sort of deep-cleaning scrub, like those black-head removing creams with blue granules in them, first. That opens up your pores and allows the strips to stick to the clogged dirt/oil/skin inside of them. And you definitely should leave it on a few minutes past when it dries. It should really be bone dry and feel like it's tightening your skin before you rip it off. I guarantee these tips will give you better results. Not bad at all. I prefer the black pore strips though. The black ones seem to rip out a little more blackheads.Biore puts out better acne products compared to other acne products that are around the same price. If you're on a budget, stick with biore. Don't use products like clean and clear and proactive. Those are rough on your skin. Clean and clear makes the most drying acne products I have tried and proactive is an expensive product that only makes acne worse. They do not cover the whole blackhead area as the pictures show. I get blackheads on the middle of my cheek.
